Scan Delivery Notes & Documents into SAP

Scan and archive delivery notes, invoices, personnel and customer records directly into SAP — semi-automatically at the workplace or fully automatically via the server, with barcode recognition and direct object linking.

From paper document to linked SAP document

With CaRD Scan Control your staff scan documents of any kind directly into SAP and link them to the business object or the document info record. All TWAIN-compatible scanners (ADF, duplex) and the common filing formats (PDF, TIF, PNG, JPG and more) are supported — including editing functions such as rotate, mirror, crop and multipage handling. The integration is available for GOS, SAP DVS and custom programs; all standard functions remain intact.

For higher volumes we generate barcode labels directly out of SAP (e.g. via output determination). Then you choose: semi-automatic processing via the scan client — recognising more than 20 barcode standards, with page splitting and manual assignment even for non-SAP users — or fully automatic processing via the scan server: folders are monitored, barcodes recognised, multipage documents split and automatically attached to the right SAP objects — as application or Windows service, multithreading-capable, with log and monitoring.

The scan tooling supports all common archives as well as third-party systems connected to SAP via the ArchiveLink interface — including our SharePoint archive interface, of course. An attractive licence model plus support for installation and process integration protect your investment. More on this topic (German) at scannen-und-archivieren.de.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we need special scanners?

No — we support all TWAIN-compatible scanner models including ADF and duplex. Existing feed and document scanners can usually be kept.

How does the automatic assignment work?

Via barcodes: the labels are generated directly from SAP and applied to the documents. Client or server recognise more than 20 barcode standards, extract the assignment information and attach the document to the right SAP object — the server fully automatically including page splitting.

Can non-SAP users scan as well?

Yes. The scan client allows manual assignment without a barcode — so mailroom staff without SAP knowledge can capture documents that end up correctly attached to the SAP object.
